This five-day rail layout is best suited to stations served by a same-day Bengaluru connection, such as Palakkad/Thrissur/Ernakulam. Verify the complete trip for travellers continuing farther south. It gives one full Hampi day. The return from Hampi is by road to avoid a tight overnight-train-to-early-morning-train connection. If extra Hampi time is wanted, use six days.
