What does a 3-day Goa package actually cover?

A three-day, two-night Goa stay can be a starting point for a college break, but it does not automatically mean leaving Kerala and returning within three calendar days. Travellux’s published Goa programme begins with arrival in Goa and ends with departure on day three. Your train, bus or flight connections determine when you leave home and arrive back.

Before seeking college approval, ask for two dates in writing: departure from your Kerala boarding point and arrival back at that point. Keep the two hotel nights separate from any nights spent travelling. This prevents a short destination stay from becoming an unexpected extra day away from campus.

Build the programme around arrival and departure

Keep day one flexible. The published outline allows time to check in and freshen up, with Calangute beach time only if the arrival schedule permits. A late arrival should not force the group to rush through an activity simply because it appeared in an early plan.

Day two is the main North Goa sightseeing day, with Fort Aguada, Candolim and Baga in the proposed route. Goa Tourism describes Fort Aguada as a heritage attraction near Sinquerim, making it a different kind of stop from beach time. On day three, Panaji or Old Goa sightseeing depends on the confirmed departure; the transfer takes priority.

Compare transport by usable time, not fare alone

Give the planner your Kerala boarding city, date window and latest return deadline. Compare the complete rail, bus or flight proposal, including local transfers. Do not assume that a cheaper ticket leaves the group with the same amount of time in Goa.

For overnight transport, clarify luggage handling and where everyone can freshen up before hotel check-in. For a flight option, include airport travel and baggage in the comparison. Ask for the proposed mode and class to appear alongside the accommodation and meal plan.

Keep optional costs visible

Request a written breakdown of hotel category, room sharing, meals, sightseeing transport and entry tickets. Water sports and cruises are outside the standard scope unless the quotation expressly includes them. The group should be able to enjoy the trip without every student paying for optional activities.

Agree meeting points and reporting times for free time, and discuss any institutional requirements with faculty. Share the final itinerary and inclusions with the batch before collecting payments; avoid quoting an unconfirmed per-person figure in the group chat.
